How to install a metallic epoxy floor
A base coat, then a metallic mid coat where mica powders are dispersed into epoxy and manipulated for a marbled, pearlescent look, sealed with polyaspartic.

1 · Base Coat100% Solids General Use Flooring EpoxyClear or pigmented epoxy base coat.

2 · Metallic Mid CoatMetallic Powder Epoxy PigmentsMica powders mixed into epoxy, poured and worked.

3 · Top CoatPolyaspartic 2 Part Flooring System — 90% Solid Non Yellowing Non FadingClear polyaspartic locks in the metallic.
- 01Prep the slabGrind or etch, fill cracks with PE-85, vacuum dust.
- 02Mix & roll the baseMix the epoxy (add pigment for a colored base) and roll an even coat.
- 03Mix the metallic coatDisperse 1–4 mica colors into a fresh epoxy batch.
- 04Pour & manipulatePour, spread, and work with a roller/torch for the marbled effect.
- 05CureLet the metallic coat cure fully before topcoating.
- 06Top coatSeal with clear polyaspartic for gloss and UV protection.
